Recent research by Orange Business has highlighted a staggering 663% increase in the number of people using Twitter to search for business recommendations – showing that businesses that are not utilising the micro-blogging platform may be missing out on a valuable marketing opportunity.
Interestingly, (particularly to us), the top five sectors are as follows:

Today, Twitter represents a compelling word of mouth engine that can deliver significant business opportunities to small businesses across a wide variety of sectors.”
In light of the research, Orange Businesses have made recommendations which will allow businesses to optimise their Twitter use, including speedy response times, demonstration of credentials, and offering helpful advice.
