Fundraising for Samaritans

In just under a month’s time, our founder, Emily Hill, will be cycling 450kms of Vietnamese road. The aim is to raise £3,475 for Samaritans, a charity with 17,000 volunteers and 201 branches across the UK.

Samaritans is best known for its confidential telephone helpline, which offers 24 hour support to individuals in distress. However, for the last 6 years, the charity has also offered workplace training, which it describes as “bespoke, specialist communication skills courses for frontline staff and managers”.  The charity also offers services to schools and prisons.

All of us here at Write My Site are big fans of Samaritans, and we would like to encourage all of our clients and friends to consider supporting this exceptional charity. You can of course donate directly to the charity (there is information on their website), or you can sponsor Emily for her cycling challenge. All the costs of the trip have been paid for, so any sponsorship would go directly to the charity.

Thanks for reading!

Thanks Carly! I have to say, I’ve been really overwhelmed at the amount of support – and sponsorship – thus far. Mental health issues can and do affect absolutely anyone and the Samaritans provide crucial support, both to individuals and businesses.
