‘Marketing Benchmarks From 7,000 Businesses’ reveals that businesses which post 15 or more blog articles a month benefit from a massive 5 times more web traffic than companies that don’t blog at all. In a great boost for SMEs, companies with 1-10 employees see an even bigger difference in the number of hits they receive when they build a blog onto their previously static website.
The survey didn’t just highlight the increase in hits – it also demonstrated the increase in leads that can come from regular blogging. The average company with 100 plus blog posts becomes increasingly likely to experience continued lead growth, and businesses with 200 plus blog articles generate 5 times the leads of those with 10 or less!
One of the most important factors to note when considering Hubspot’s research is that it’s not just having a blog that brings benefits – it’s the amount of posts you have and the frequency with which you update. According to Hubspot, an average company will see a 45% growth in traffic when they increase their total blog articles from 11-20 per month to 21-50.
