Write My Site’s founder to speak at Marketing Week Live

Emily Hill, founder of online copywriting agency Write My Site, is to deliver a seminar at the forthcoming Online Marketing Show (OMS). The show is part of Marketing Week Live, which takes place at Olympia on 29th and 30th June 2011.

Ms. Hill’s seminar is titled ‘Creating Content for Search’ and will explore the impact of the recent Google Farmer update on content strategy. She commented: “Brands need to be very selective about the content they publish online. Their agencies will no longer be able to get away with syndicating ‘badly written articles stuffed with keywords. Content in 2011 is all about quality.”

The ‘Farmer’ update, launched in the US on 24th February 2011, was Google’s first serious crack-down on low quality content, having an immediate effect on 11.8% of search queries.  The new algorithm aims to bury ‘content farms’ containing poor quality articles written for no other purpose than to repeat keywords and build links.

Ms. Hill’s ‘Creating Content for Search’ seminar takes place at 2pm on Thursday 30th June in the Search Affiliate, Display & Digital Arena. Questions will be taken from the audience at the end of the seminar.
Write My Site is also exhibiting at OMS at Stand B424.
